Trial d'Ancelle 2010

This is the 3rd time we have visited ancelle.  The first time we went for a 3 day competition and the subsequent two times was for training only.  This year we were planning to ride a trial in ancelle on the sunday but unfortunately the trial was cancelled.   Even without the official  comepetition is is still an execllent trip and a great trainning venue.There are not too many places still available where you can practice trials without any problems.  The scenary is spectacular around ancelle and the terrain is excellent for trials.  The entire hillside is a huge boulder field and there are a huge number of possible sections available.

We normally split the day into some training in the morning and a small competiton in the afternoon.  It is good to do some element of competition as so much in trials relies on concentration and preparation.  Half the battle of the sport is being able to plan what you have to try to do in the sections and competition prepares you much better than training.

The 3 days this year were again very enjoyable.  It is really good to see the progression being made by the young and the not so young in the club.  If we can continue with these types of training days and weekends then the club will hopefully progress and become stronger.

C’était la 3ème fois que nous nous rendions à Ancelle. La 1ère fois c’était pour une compétition sur 3 jours et les autres fois pour de l’entraînement. Cette année nous avions prévu de participer à un trial à Ancelle le dimanche mais malheureusement celui-ci a été annulé. Malgré tout, même sans compétition, c’est une excellente sortie et un super entraînement. Il n’y a plus beaucoup d’endroits où il est encore possible de pratiquer le trial sans problème. Le site est spectaculaire au-dessus d’Ancelle et le terrain est excellent pour le trial. Tout le pan de montagne est un énorme terrain où il y a un très grand nombre de possibilités pour tracer des zones.
Normalement la journée commençait le matin par de l’entraînement et se poursuivait l’après-midi par une petite compétition. Il est très bon de faire de la simulation de course, car le trial nécessite beaucoup de concentration et de préparation. Dans ce sport, la moitié du travail est de pouvoir apprécier ce que tu peux tenter dans les zones et la compétition est une meilleure préparation que l’entraînement.

Ces 3 jours on été à nouveau un grand plaisir. C’est vraiment super de voir la progression des jeunes et des moins jeunes du club. Si nous pouvons continuer ce genre de camp ou de week-end, alors le club va faire des progrès inespérés et devenir plus fort.
